Hyderabad craftsmen are today considered experts in sorting, refining the giving additional lustre to pearls. No wonder, it is a thriving export industry.

The Hyderabadi glass bangles appear to be only next to the pearls on the priority list. Colourfully done, the number of varieties in which the bangles come is astonishing. Lac is used extensively to create designs manually on glass bangles. Sellers give the style and varieties a number of fanciful names to popularize them.
